Bodum Chambord French Press 0.35 l

Paradoxically, the first French press was developed in Italy in 1933. However, this method of coffee preparation was most popular in France, where the name itself comes from. The French company Martin SA has the main credit for the spread of French presses in the post-war period to households throughout Europe. Bodum has been cooperating with Martin SA for 30 years. The Chambord range is currently partly produced in Portugal.

We chose French presses from the workshop of the well-known Swiss company Bodum for their unrivaled quality of workmanship and exceptional design. We use the Chambord range even in the best restaurants as the preferred method of preparing single-brewed coffees.

The preparation itself is very simple. Coarsely ground coffee in the amount of approx. 40g per 500ml is poured with hot water at a temperature of 92°C. Subsequently, the coffee is thoroughly mixed with a wooden stick and left to infuse for three to four minutes. Then the French press is slowly pressed down (hence the name push pot) and the coffee is ready to be served. Thanks to this relative simplicity of preparation and the high quality of the resulting drink, this method is once again becoming very popular in cafes and restaurants in North America and Europe.

The basic element of Chambord French presses is a vessel made of borosilicate glass and a high-quality filter. We offer 3 sizes in the Chambord set: 350ml, 500ml and 1l.
