October Recap: A Month Full of Coffee, Travel, and New Experiences

Oct 27, 2026Yara Kwolek

October was an exceptionally busy month for the La Bohème team. We took part in several coffee events, travelled to Berlin, introduced a new menu at our Na Švihance café, and met hundreds of coffee lovers across the Czech Republic and abroad.

České Budějovice Coffee Fest

At the beginning of the month, we headed to České Budějovice Coffee Fest, where we had the opportunity to share our passion for specialty coffee with visitors and fellow industry professionals.

We enjoyed a weekend full of great coffee, inspiring conversations, and a wonderful festival atmosphere – and some of us even came away with new tattoos as unique souvenirs from the event.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a cup of coffee, chatted with us about coffee beans and roasting, and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere throughout the weekend.

Berlin and a Takeover at Die Espressionisten

One of the highlights of the month was our trip to Berlin, where we took over the bar at Die Espressionisten café for a day.

Throughout the day, we prepared our coffees for local guests and hosted a cupping session, where we explored different flavour profiles, processing methods, and coffee origins together. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce our work to a new audience and build inspiring connections with Berlin's coffee community.

A big thank you to the entire Die Espressionisten team for the invitation and the warm welcome.

New Flavours at Na Švihance

October also brought something new to our Na Švihance café, where we introduced a completely new menu.

When creating it, we focused on high-quality ingredients, seasonal flavours, and a selection that perfectly complements our coffee throughout the day. We're delighted with the positive feedback and happy to see that the new dishes have already found their fans.

If you haven't tried them yet, we'd be delighted to welcome you.

Prague Coffee Festival

We wrapped up October at the Prague Coffee Festival, one of the most significant coffee events in the Czech Republic.

Visitors could find us at our Brew Bar, where we presented a selection of coffees prepared using different filter brewing methods. Our programme also included a cupping session, giving participants the chance to compare individual coffees and discover how origin, processing, and roasting influence the final flavour in the cup.

Meeting so many passionate coffee lovers, industry professionals, and curious newcomers was a wonderful way to end the month.

Autumn Cupping at La Bohème

October wasn't just about festivals and travelling – we also enjoyed the cosy autumn atmosphere during a cupping session right here in our café.

Guests had the opportunity to taste a selection of coffees and be the first to try our seasonal Peach Pie Latte, inspired by the flavour of homemade peach pie. Alongside the tastings, we took a trip down memory lane and got creative making little chestnut animals, one of the most beloved autumn traditions.

It was wonderful to slow down for a while, meet fellow coffee lovers, and enjoy an afternoon filled with great coffee, creativity, and autumn cosiness.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who was part of our October – whether we met in České Budějovice, Berlin, at the Prague Coffee Festival, or at one of our cafés.

These encounters, shared experiences, and our mutual love of coffee are what keep us moving forward. We're already looking forward to more events, new coffees, and exciting projects we're preparing for you.
