Join our vibrant team as a Junior Accountant where you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our retail cafes. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual who is passionate about numbers and has a strong interest in the world of finance.
Job description:
Entering financial data:
- accurately enter financial transactions into our accounting system.
- maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for multiple retail cafes.
Liabilities and receivables:
- assistance in processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
- track receivables and support debt collection efforts.
Bank statement:
- reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Financial reporting:
- produce routine financial reports for management review.
- assistance in the preparation of financial statements to support decision-making processes.
Help with budgeting:
- work with the finance team and contribute to budget creation and monitoring.
Additional support:
- provide support to various financial projects and initiatives as needed.
- assist in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
We require:
- education or experience in accounting, finance or related field.
- great attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- knowledge of data entry and Microsoft Excel.
- ability to effectively multitask and prioritize tasks.
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Pohoda, Money, Helios).
- previous experience in a retail or hospitality environment
