Gentle coffee decaffeination
This Kenyan coffee has been decaffeinated using the patented Carbonic Natural process, a form of decaffeination using CO2. It is a washed coffee that comes from a combination of three washing stations in the Nyeri region of Kenya. The Carbonic Natural process preserves the coffee's delicate floral notes and allows the classic sweet and juicy flavors typical of Kenyan coffees to shine through.

The exceptional Nyeri region
Coffee from the Nyeri region is highly prized for several key factors. The region is located at higher altitudes, where the mild climate and fertile volcanic soil create ideal conditions for growing coffee trees. The washing stations in Nyeri are known for their precision and thoroughness in processing, which contributes to the resulting quality of the beans. In addition, specific Kenyan varieties such as SL28 and SL34 are grown here, which are valued for their sweetness, complex fruit notes and refreshing acidity.
